I just got a car for my birthday and i thought id "spice it up" with a new set of rims. But the problem is that i dont know much about rims except the fact that they make a car look better.lol
Do rims come already embedded in tires and i have to buy the whole thing? or are they just adjusted on my tires?
just to make sure im wondering about rims, not shiny hubcaps that are available at walmart.
oh nd how much do they (rims) usually cost?
pls help....

I have a 1990 chevy corsica and the lights in my dashboard don't work. It's not a fuse because I changed them and it still doesn't work and I don't think it's a bulb because it went out slowly, sometimes they'd work and sometimes they wouldn't and now they don't at all. What could it be?

The car is a 1998 Buick Regal GS with a 3800 Series II Supercharged engine.

There is gas and oil in it and the transmission is fine. The engine just quits like someone turns it off. I don't want to buy a new engine. I need to find out what could be wrong with it before I decide to take it to the shop. Thank you all for your help.

i have a 97 civic ex and i had the check engine light turn on. it ran fine for a few days, but just today as i was driving, i was coming up on a stop light and as i almost made a complete stop, the engine started to tremble. not alot but noticeable. it felt like it wanted to stall on me. (it's an automatic by the way). i think it would have turned off but what kept it from stalling was i had to keep giving it gas. i put it in netrual and held the gas down till the light turned green and took off. it runs fine when accelerating but it did the same thing to me at the next stop light. i made it home turned the car off and back on, and it seems fine.
any idea what needs to be done or whats wrong

I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima. I brought it into Midas to have them check out the suspension because I've been hearing a pop noise over bumps. They told me it was the strut mount but Autozone sells the suspension bearing and the strut mount seperately and together. How do I know if either of these parts are worn out? Thanks.

I have sunk about 2 grand in my Metro now and ppl continuously keep on ripping me off. First the pulley bolt broke on the bottom and I have been having problems ever since. Every time I put my a/c on the car loses power and rides very slow just to get back up to 45mph and the service engine light has been on. I've taken it to several repair shops and they keep on saying it is computer code 400 and it is not the EGR. They said(Chev. Dealer} that my crankshaft gaskets needed to be replaced and that the part that the timing belt sits on was corroded so they replaced the gaskets and cleaned this part and they charged me 600.00 I am very up-set. It doesn't need an O2 sensor nor fuel pump so I don't know what else to do. Everywhere I'm taking it has cost me $600 and the minute I leave the car runs fine 30minutes later the service engine light comes back on. I don't know what to do.

i have a 2002 pete 387 with a cummins ISX with a autoshift transmission. every once in a while my check engine light would come on, i mostly notice it going down hill, with a somewhat higher speed (1600-1700 rpm), or after sitting idling for a half of an hour or so. the light would come on, stay on for a few seconds and then go back off. i also noticed that every now and then the engine would run rough for a few seconds, the light would come on but again would go out after only a few seconds.
had it in the shop last week, they checked for fault codes, found a low fuel pressure code, changed the fuel filter. but apperently that didn't do the trick.
advice would be greatly appreciated.

i have a 92 Plymouth laser and i think the head gasket may be gone there is a lot of pressure from the rad cap when i have the vehicle running for about 5 min. i took a compression test and theres 175 pounds per cylinder. (vehicle is a 4 cylinder) there is no antifreeze in the oil or none comming out of the tail pipe. but the rad isn't in the best of shape could it just be the rad causing the pressure? or what?

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a diagram of a steering column layout with what each part is on the net. I have a manual to the car but had no luck with it. I called the dealer and he told me he could only tell me what one part was. So I know there is some really intelligent person out there that can help me out with this.

They work a little the first time you hit them, but the pedal sinks right to the floor and the car won't stop. The following morning I noticed bright yellow fluid on the ground under the drivers' side wheelwell (not from under the hood, it was definitely off to the side.) Can anyone say if it's likely a line or the master cylinder based on this?

It's a 1995 mercury sable... and I feel far more educated knowing how quickly your braking power can just dissapear. SCARY!

I want to take a solid white '99 Monte Carlo and get it painted jet black. Will the fact that it's white now cause problems and thereby make painting it black more expensive? How much should it cost?

I live in Austin, TX if location makes any difference.

Sorry for the caps but I need help.

I have an 03' Jeep Grand Cherokee, 43000 miles.

Here's what happened. I went to work in the morning, no incident. I have a half a tank of gas, and everything worked fine.

This afternoon, I try the keyless entry, no response. I hit all the buttons on my remote, nothing happens.

I unlock the door with the key and try to start the engine. I turn the key and nothing happens. No clicking, no lights on, no radio, nothing works.

I'm pretty sure it's not the battery. Lights are on auto, and were not even on this morning. Plus it couldn't have drained in 4 hours. I checked the fuses, but they appeared fine. I assume it must be some kind of electrical problem because if the electrical system was working properly the radio would at least go on.

So if you know what could be the problem, help me.
