I have a used car that did a lot of highway traveling. It has a couple of pretty big chips in the windshield.

I just had the "check engine" light checked, and it's coming up with a Radiator Fan High/Low Relay issue. Would this affect the power windows/door locks? All of a sudden they just stopped working.

Also is this relay worth fixing? Does anyone know about how much it could cost?

I got a fisrly loud clicking noise from my driver's side front wheel. I checked the CV joint boot and it looks OK. When I jack the car up and turn the wheel manually I don't notice the noise. I really notice it when turning sharply and in only one direction. I am thinking the CV joint may be bad. Any opinions on anything that could be wrong in addition to the joint. Maybe a wheel bearing? Also, if qualified give me a repair estimate in a ballpark sense. Thanks.

so went and got my power pack and it started up, i dont know if it was the incline i was parked , or the rain and when i got it going with the power pack, i turned off the car and restarted it and it was fine what would cause that well thanks for helping me

It shows that it is charged, yet I don't have any cool air at all coming out. It has felt as though it were losing some charge over the years, but all of a sudden no cold air at all. The compressor seems to kick on and off every 3 or 4 seconds.

The "smell" of heat is coming from the underside of the driver's side. It seems to start to shimmy after about 15 to 20 minutes of steady driving. Brakes are new, radiator cap tight, no apparent leaks. When it starts to shimmy, I get a "feeling" that it want s to shut down. I don't know - when you drive a car for awhile, you get to know it, and can tell when something isn't right with it. Thanks for the answers so far. I had a suggestion from a "friend of a friend" that it could be a clogged catalytic converter. Wil probably have to get it checked out.

i have a 1992 grand voyager le. i just had a transmission done about a year ago. well lately when i first drive when i put it in drive it wont move it wont even reverse either. it feel slike i was neutral both times when i shuffled it around then it would jolt a tiny bit then drive fine. but causes it is lack of transmission fluid?/ or something else.

Ok, I need new tires, 3 to be exact. They cost over 100 for the installation and the tire its self...each. So I was wondering would it be a bad idea to get them done one at a time. (One every week) Would I need to get an alignment every time I go in to get the new one? I mean, just so my car can be leveled out? Not sure, don’t know how this works, all I know is that I need them and I need them bad.

P.S. The tires are $98.00 plus $18.00 installation..... Do you think that is worth it?

I have a 96 Tercel that is having a problem with the clear coat starting to peel off. It's seems to be happening only on the left side of my car (under the windows and on the top back area above the passenger side door). This is the area where I had collision repair work done several years ago (pretty much from the driver side door to the end of the car). Is this probably because the paint job wasn't done properly? I haven't seen this problem anywhere else on my car (at least not yet). How much approximately would it cost to have it repainted? Any suggestions on a reputable place to take it to? I can't really buy a new car right now as much as I want to.

Is it the same as "Artic white" code 11u off a 85ish Monte Carlo?

Is it the same as Summit white or Galaxy white code 11U off a 05 or 06 Chevy aveo?

We have a 4 year old Kia Rio.

We are continually loosing the internal lights, dash boards lights, air bags and once we lost the rear headlamps (if that is the right term!)

More recently the electric locking mechanism has gone mad and keeps trying to lock itself when you are trying to unlock.

Other than throwing the car away, or stocking up on fuses (which seems to fix it for a few weeks!) has anyone got any ideas on how we can fix this?!

i have a 1999 ford expedition... the battery light came on so i went and got it tested... it turned out to be the alternator so i purchased a new one I put it on but i still have the same problem I tested the battery but it is also good what could be the problem????

Just off the bat, I'm no dumby when it comes to vehicles, but this just drives me nuts. I have got a 1975 harley sx175 and it is a 2 cycle. Today I drained, and flushed all fluids then put in all new. Did the little things, just so it would run, but when I go to kick start it, it turns over but then jams. I took out the spark plug and kicked it over and the motor is NOT locked up, but while turning it over, every time I kicked, a thick mist of 2 cycle oil squirts out. I think the reason it "jams" is because after the first initial kick, too much oil is let in cylinder, in which there is way to much compression. Also everytime I take the spark plug out, the tip is dripping with oil. Now I do know the oil is added to the fuel automatically. I'm pretty sure its not a carb problem, but I may be wrong. Can ANYONE give advice, or explain to me how the oil system in these bikes work, so I can get an idea of what the issue is? Thanks

Ive read somewhere that using a higher viscosity oil will give me a longer engine life. My 04 civic runs on 5w20 and i was thinking of goin to maybe 5w40. Anybody know anything about this?
