Repair only if the spot that has a chip/crack can be covered by a quarter.

Make and model always helps.
I'd replace it. Depending on the make and model, you get a replacement for under $250 installed.

Your insurance company will usually pay for the whole thing if you get em fixed. You'd be suprised at how big a hole they can fix! You must satisfy your deductible if its replaced, depending on your insurance.

Replace it in my opinion, especially if it's 10 years old or more.

you can get it repaired for cheep if it isn't deep but if it is too deep you sould replace it before it gets cold or it might spider web
