I just had the "check engine" light checked, and it's coming up with a Radiator Fan High/Low Relay issue. Would this affect the power windows/door locks? All of a sudden they just stopped working.

Also is this relay worth fixing? Does anyone know about how much it could cost?

Thanks!

Relays are typically cheap. $20 for the part (MAX). Autozone has a relay for the cooling fans for a 1999 Dodge Intrepid for $5. They're typically easy to replace too. Pull the old one out with your hand and push the new one in.

If it is indeed the relay that's broken. I'd replace it.

If the fan relay has gone out. If it's stuck closed, that means your cooling fans will be turned on all the time, if it's stuck open, it means your cooling fan's won't turn on and your car may overheat!

If there is basically a small volume of smoke this is probably basically condensation that's commonly used. this may well be extra stated in less warm climate simply by fact the chilly air reasons extra water vapor interior the exhaust to condense and are available into sight. it fairly is no longer probably a issue led to by a defective EGR valve sensor simply by fact if there have been a severe issue with that sensor the vehicle probably does not run easily at idle. If the quantity of white smoke is extra effective than the quantity which could generally be attributed to condensation you will possibly have leaky head gasket. shop an eye fixed on the vehicles coolant point, coolant leaking into the vehicles cylinders for the time of the pinnacle gasket burns inflicting white smoke. If the leak is severe sufficient you're able to be conscious a drop in coolant point after using for awhile, you additionally can be able to smell the antifreeze burning interior the exhaust. If the pinnacle gasket is your project your staring at an costly restoration (think of $seven-hundred to $800). reliable success.
