It's a electric Gage so i would guess there is something wrong with it or the sensor. You have checked your oil levels right?
No it's not normal.

*Christop* is right about it moving around but it shouldn't bounce around. Moving up when the rpm goes up is ok. Start high then lowering when the engine gets hot, is ok. But it shouldn't change when you don't do anything. If you're driving at 50mph it should jumping around "20-50-10-30"ect.
Allso 6 psi is a little low and you might think about going with a larger weight oil on the high side Im guessing you only see this when it's really hot? So if you're using 10w30 try 10w40 ect.

I used to think the same about that on my cars but my car was a corvette. The reason why I'm using this example is from 1985 and up corvette guages were electric and digital showing pressure by numbers. Now when you put a after market oil pressure guage, you run a line from the manifold oil connection to the guage in the car now you have to make sure there is no air in line but, thats not the case. What most people don't understand is when the engine is reving at 1500+ you will get readings between 40-60 Now when your engine at low rpms or idle you will get readings of 14 to 20. Thats what it should read!!! So don't worry your fine.

on your speedo i think of it truly is the yrs. ford went to an electric powered speedo unit particularly of the older cable sort, i could propose putting a clean velocity sensor in it, my f-350 achieved the comparable element for yrs then finally provide up,put in new sensor and it became into like new i could additionally substitute the oil sending unit to verify if it fixes the oil gauge, if it would not purchase an o.e.m oil gauge and notice what it reads, if whilst heat the stress falls to a low psi i could look into merchandising the truck, could in all probability propose mains are wore

No that isnt normal, it could be the gage or an intermittent connection, make sure the ground is good on it.

It's not normal. It sounds like it might just be a lousy gauge with no dampener.
