When i go to start my car, i put the key in the ignition but i cant turn it. ?What can i do to fix it? I cant start it. its a 97 pontiac grand am se

Okay, here's the scoop. About a month ago, I started to have car problems. The problem was my motor was dying. So, i took it to the auto shop and about a couple of days later, which was on a Tuesday of last week, i got my car back. Note: my car has 172,000 miles on it, and i keep it well-maintained so it can run like a normal car should. But about 30 minutes ago, i went outside, and i tried to turn the ignition on, and it won't budge; all i can hear is a slow turning noise when i'm trying to turn the ignition on. M y question to you all is, why is this happening? Could it be the weather? Cause it is alittle cold out here today or does it need to be charged ? Cause like i said before, everytime i turn the ignition, it makes this slow turning noise, and that's it.

When I was driving my car and was stopped at a red light my car was fine. When I pressed down the gas pedal, it stalled out and then it kept on doing it more and more. Now it happened and will not start back up at all.

Mine was a Red Ford Fiesta, diesel and had no power steering so it was like manouvering a tank. I loved it though.

Where exactly are these installed? We live in Florida and purchased a car from an auction in Boston, the car arrived but the keyless entry isnt working, when i searched the FCC ID it says it is for a remote start alarm but I dont even know where to look to see what kind it is to try and figure out how to reprogram the keyless entry, etc... any help would be nice. I know i can take it in to a shop and have it looked at, however I would like to try it ourselves first. Also how hard are these to install new, we are thinking of putting one on another vehicle we have to beat the florida heat.

I seen them around befor and i like the new skoo old skoo design. Im aware classic's like that should stay on 17"biggest but i wanna ride on 20". Any ways with out changing suspention>? or costing alot?

sometimes when im driving i hear a clank like there is something loose it seems to come from the front passenger side like by the wheel sometimes it goes away but when i hear it i press the brake and it goes away ,i took it to my mechanic he said there was nothing loose they couldnt figure it out but said it could be the differentials but can someone help me please its driving me crazy

My friend broke the shifter on the steering column on my truck. He broke the base of the shifter (where the pin goes). Now I am trying to find a place that has the parts to fix this rather than buying a whole new steering column new or used.

A couple of weeks ago my check engine soon light came on and I went and got it checked at a parts store and they told me that it was my oxygen sensor that was defective but it wasn't very serious. After the day that I got it checked it didn't come on again until today and I'm assuming it's the same thing. Does anyone know how much it costs to get an Oxygen Sensor replaced in a 2000 ford escort? Or if it is very easy do you think I can do it myself?

I'm doing an ammeter bypass on my jeep. Im wondering if I were to COMPLETELY bypass the ammeter, rather than the "quick fix" of attaching both wires to the positive post, would there be any negative side effects, or would I encounter any electrical problems that could lead to fire, or other electrical issues?

i took my car out last week but on the way back the engine cut out and won't start up, after a long time of key turning it started up and got me home. after then it never started again, when you turn the key it cranks but does not start up. i have changed the spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, charged battery but no luck .......... does anybody know what the problem is!!
