you should be fine just drain the excess oil out and make sure it is full then run it for a while it will probably smoke for a little after that.

Sounds like you blew a gasket from the excess pressure. You could have really messed up, too much oil is just as bad as not enough oil. Have you tried starting it, since the tow home? If so, how does the car act? Is there smoke or steam coming out the exhaust pipe? You'll need to provide more info for anyone to help. Good luck.

simple, go back underneath the car and drain some of the new oil out . also you might have spilled oil on top of the engine. dont do this again because that makes your crankshaft whip the oil and puts air inside the oil making the oil totally useless over a long period of time. next time put 4 to 5 quarts of oil unless indicated by the owner's manual. you probably need to put some new oil in.

Most likely nothing serious, what happened is that oil expands when it gets hot,and your manifold probably got some of that excess oil and started burning, drain the excess oil, wash the oil from the engine when the engine is cool, let it dry and then start it to check how it comes out.Good luck

You might have. If the oil gets high enough for the crankshaft to reach it, it gets foamed up and you lose oil pressure in the engine. All you can do is drain the excess and try it out.

You dont want to over fill the crank case. What you can do is take off the filtter a few times till your oil level comes down to what it should be. You Might also want to look at your air fillter and see if any oil is on it. If so replace fillter and PCV valve.

Probably not. Just drain the oil out and replace it with new oil and don't over fill this time.

Drain the oil.
Add the proper amount.
Take it for a short drive.
It will smoke a little bit at first. Maybe the first minute or two.
Look for leaks.
