sometimes when im driving i hear a clank like there is something loose it seems to come from the front passenger side like by the wheel sometimes it goes away but when i hear it i press the brake and it goes away ,i took it to my mechanic he said there was nothing loose they couldnt figure it out but said it could be the differentials but can someone help me please its driving me crazy

You need to find a better mechanic.

It's probably your brake pads rattling around inside the caliper, since you say it stops making the noise when press the brakes.

Did he check the strut bushing?

Try to recreate the driving condition that causes the noise. Once that condition is isolated, slow/fast speed, wheel straight/steep angle, or up/level/or down hill, the problem becoms easier to diagnose.

The control arm bushings get bad on those things and sound pretty clunky. You need to go to an alignment place and shell out the $50 for a real inspection.

i would check the brakes and rotor on that side. if 2x4 check the bearing
