A s*it brown V-reg Austin Maxi.
Used as much clutch fluid as it did petrol, had rust carefully camouflaged with the brown paintwork all over and its exhaust dropped off once while driving through the middle of a town centre.
But its redeeming feature was that all the seats from front to back, folded almost completely flat, leaving an area slightly larger than your average king size bed available for any nocturnal activities. Unfortunately, in my case this only ever went as far as sleeping off the after effects of various parties, but at least I wasn't on the vomit/urine soaked floor of my mates houses!

A 1962 Renault Dauphin with just 23 h.p. It was a great "around town" type of transportation. And I believe, the last car that could be "crank-started" (there was a hole in the bumper and the body that allowed the crank to be directly inserted into the crankshaft; it was a rear engine of course (and it worked!). I also owned a 1964 Renault, same model, and it crank started too. The last of the crank start cars I believe.

A silver Datsun FII, reg no HCX 71S and I learn to drive in it.
Power steering...... what was that?!
We bought it for £50 cos it had failed its MOT on a busted near side radius arm....so then boyfriend (now hubby) bought me a pair of overalls, got me the radius arm and let me sort it for the test. It did pass!
