we have replaced the battery, alternator, spark plugs, and the wiring harness but the car will stall if we take it out of the drive way. it will idle at a stand still fine and continue to run but once it is taken out on the road it dies. i am eight months pregnant and could go any time and need our car, its our only one and we dont have any friends that are mechanically inclined!

No sound from speakers. I checked all fuses. Radio has power and everything works on radio, but no sound. Also no warning sound in 15 sec. relay when door is locked.

It shifts from park into each gear, but I can barely feel it at all when I shift. The only way that I know which gear I'm in is through experience in driving automatic transmission cars. My gear display panel shows the car as being in reverse when I have it in park. If I press the accelerator hard enough, I see a little bit of smoke/smell hot transmission fluid whenever I stop at a light. Are these common symptoms for a older car, and what can I do to fix the problems? I am mechanically enclined so any tips will help. Thanks in advance.

When a cars battery runs out of energy and you use another car to give it energy with jumper cables. Does the good car feed the bad car with energy from its battery? The longer I leave it plugged and running does it charge more or is it a waste of time?

I took the 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan in for an oil change. Dealer informed me that the transmission solenoid is leaking and needs to be replaced. Where is this part located? Is it inside the transmission or outside? How difficult would it be to replace?

i tried the whole locking and unlocking the drivers side with the key but it doesnt work!.. unless im doing it wrong.. do i have to have the battery connected or disconnected?.. if someone can give me step-by-step instructions that'll be pritty good.. i've been trying to fix it for the past few days but all i get is the extremely loud alarm.. its a bit annoying..

There are 2 sets of Blue H13 headlight bulbs i am looking at to purchase. I just need to know which set is the better of the two. The first set are 80W/100W with 6100k color temp. The second set are 90w/100w with a 5000k color temp. Which set would be better based on the wattage and Color temp. If you need any info let me know.

Hi when i push on my brakes it makes a hissing sound but no braking and then goes firm and brakes if you push hard. Whats wrong ? could there be air in the system cos its been garaged for the last year? fluid level ok in master cylinder. THanks

ok i just purchased a 94 honda accord coupe lx 11april 07 when i first got into the car and put the key in the ignition for the test drive it put up a bit of a struggle the sales rep informed me that there was a trick to it that i had to push it in to crank it, it still put up a bit of a struggle but once it turned it prrrr'd like a kitten and ran like a dream i drove it to the car wash mcdonalds ect ect the point being i took the key out several times in 3 days and it crunk up no problem now all of the sudden out of the blue my steering wheel locked up and wont unlock and the key wont turn past the first dot no matter how i try, the autozone guy tipped me of that it could be the ignition cylinder but i just want to make sure before i give them $160 and $95 to a local mechanic or give o'reilly's $120 for the same part , i also noticed push buttons starters maybe after i put the new ign. to prevent this problem in the future from ruff or flimsy ignition cylinders

Looking into tires for our Dodge Ram 1500 truck. Are 245/75 R16 tires the same as 265/75 R16 tires? One is a Goodyear (245) and one is a Mastercraft (265).

I was planing on puting one right after the catalic converter. I have a 1998 Chevy 1500 V6 4.3 liter pickup. I have heard that a V6 just sounds like crap and I was wondering if that is only if it goes through the muffler and the rest of the exhaust piping.
