Probes are famous for the ignition module failing. If you have no spark it may be your problem.
Its easier and not much more money to replace the whole distributor.

Check ignition module first. Having fuel up there is one thing but you gotta have spark to ignite the fuel. If it has spark then you have a timing issue or bad crank sensor. I've stored cars for a year or two and had the same problem with my honda. I didn't take the right precautions to keep mice out. They chewed threw some of the wires from my fuel pump. I had a mess to fix. I hope you don't have the same luck I did so check your wiring to your ecm. Good luck.

Some cars when they sit for a year will be hard to start, so you put gas in the carb and tried it that way and it wont kick over? I would check the distributer cap, it might be all corroded, check the ends of the spark plug wires also.
