Hi,

Can someone help me figuring this out? What is the different between performance strut bars / lower arms vs sways bars? Which tend to perform better? Can both be install?

I want comfort and better handling. I don't need to make a turn at high speed.

Thank you much!!!

I can only describe them as mechanical noises. Is there a mechanically minded person out there who could tell me if it's definitely the clutch that needs to be replaced? thanks.

I have had lasted a lot longer, twice as long, and it is just average usage, nothing unusual. A small thing but hope it does not indicate other cheap inferior products in this car that might show up over time.

It rattles quite loudly when I start it and when it's in idle. But it sounds fine when I'm actually moving. I'm not sure, but it sounds like the rattling is coming from underneath the car rather than in the engine.

The motor has been burnt out on my bmw rear window(thanks to my son) It smelt bloody awful It is open and I and took ages to stop smoking.Obviously I want to close it, even as a temporary measure while I find a replacement .Is there a way of closing it manually? Ive read that it can be done but no one says how!

Lately my Vauxhall Corsa (1993) has had trouble overheating. And recently I noticed that there was a water leak near the radiator. Everytime I fill the water up there is a steady leakage. I can't see the exact point it is coming from but it appears to below the radiator.

Please can you suggest what might need repairing and give me a rough idea of the costs?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks.

1996 Dodge Intrepid, Im actually getting rid of it here in the next two months and buying my first new car. A friend of mine promised to do all the work on it to get it ready to give to my little sister....So we are doing a ball joint and a wheel bearing, and a tune up... in which he told me to get a new distributer cap... Ok, I am a girl, but I looked under the hood of my car and I don't see one.... and I can't find one in the parts book either... she doesn't have one does she?

I just bought a 1997 Chrysler CIrrus and I noticed that the right tail light was out. I replaed the bulb and it started working but when i went to test it, the left side stopped working. So I replaced that bulb too but it still doesn't come on. I read somewhere that it might be a fuse problem but I have no idea how to recognize if one needs replaced nor how to replace one. Is there anything else that can be done to fix this or do i have to replace the fuse (I think the fuse is fine)?

I was driving to work this morning, and when I was almost here, the brake pedal seemed to get "looser". It didn't have as much pressure to push than usual and you had to go further to the floor to stop. The brakes are about 2 months old and my tires are new. What could it be?

Ok, I have an 85 Chevy Truck, I have electric windows, and recently I have been having problem where sometimes the windows will go down and up, sometimes they wont, only way to make sure was to grab the window and help it along. Sometime it will stop going up or down mid way and wont go anymore, but will later. now, My drivers window is down and wont even start to come back up. i have heard that the switched sometimes go bad in these old Chevys, wondering if you all had any insight as to weather it might be a switch or the motor? and about what a motor replacement would cost.

okay so i had my oil changed today, and when i got back in the car i noticed the type of oil they put into the vehicle. My car calls for a SAE 5W-20 or 0W-20 and they put in 10W-30, now there is this knocking noise and the engine is louder(my car is a 2007). I took it back to them and told them about it, and showed them the owners manual and the cap on the engine says what type of oil to use. so they drained the oil out and replaced it twice the noise is quieter but it is still there, its a brand new car with only 2990 miles on it.
they called around and everyone they talked to said the noise will go away once the lifters are back to there prime, putting in the contempary oil stripped the lifters of the sticky stuff that the synthetic oil put on them, they said it will take awhile but to speed up the process to use and additive called slick 50, they said that came from a TOYOTA tech. Is it safe to do this or should i not ? i dotn want to mess up my warranty....

Not an idiot. If i ask a question its because I dont know the answer...not because i need you to explain how much smarter you are, or what is a good idea and what is a bad idea, unless it is specifacally related to my question. If i ask you an electrical question, give me information about my question, dont explain to me the science behind mixing electricity and water, or assume i am dumb enough to work on a full hot tub while in it. GET OVER YOURSELVES...PEOPLE ARE LOOKIN FOR HELP...NOT LESSONS ON LIFE!
