85 Chevy Suburban 6.2 Diesel

Got a problem i was looking for some insight on. When i got to start it in the morning, its hard to start, I let the glow plugs cycle through 4 long cylces before i try to turn it over to get the cylinder as warm as i can, but its still a pain to start, always get a time or 2 it starts up but dies, I always get it started, but when i do, it always starts with a high idle, like its gonna run high for a second then idle down, but it doesnt idle down, sometimes gets faster, if i shut it off, it starts right back up and idles fine. Any thoughts on what might cause this?

The other thing is...how much will timing effect my fuel economy?

One of the alloy wheels, on my car, was mildly dented, when it a pot hole. The tire wheel assembly holds air, and the damage is not readily observable. However, it is sufficient, to keep the wheel out of balance.

It is a small leak on a seam, that only leaks when we park it on an angle/slope. My husband and I are having financial difficulties and aren't sure if we can get it fixed before it is due for its next eCheck (in May). What do you think? Thank you.

I put oil into the car and less then a week later its burned out! My car also dont get up to speed like it did 2 monts ago so please tell me whats the matter..

I have a Hyundai Excel, it started to have temp gauge go up to hot when idling at lights and air conditioner would just switch off from cool and blow warm air. I took to mechanic yesterday who charged me $545 for a new radiator & thermostat. Drove it today and voila...temp gauge went up to 3/4 so not at hot like it was before but it was well on it's way! Again, air con went off cold to blowing warm air. The mech reckons he pressure tested radiator and it was stuffed, I'm thinking have I been ripped off! It's still doing almost what it did when I took it there but also they decided to do full service, my car idling at lights going from 1/2 to 3/4 hot started shaking, thought it was going to stall. Any advice to the mechs out there?

car started to sputter and felt like I hit mud. The check engine light began to blink. Then it all stopped. Then did it again, a few more times. I was going up hill most of the time it happened. I just got gas the day before and went thru a half a tank. It has also been raining. I am thinking it is bad gas, water in the tank, or a bad oxygen sensor.

i lubricated my chain with motor oil (bad idea!!!) and i got sand stuck in it... after that i lubricated it with Vaseline, but i can't get that annoying sand out of my chain, pls help!!!

I just wanted to know if i get an air filter, if my car would sound like BROOOM BROOOOMM when i pushed off. because ive been wanting to get an sports exhaust but held it off because it was a bit costly, but someone told me if i got an air filter, it would have the same effect as getting a sports exhaust, and make it sound loud, is this true people?

i have a 1993 cavalier there is a small hole in the radiator hose so car is over heating when on small trips! when on the motorway it fine, anyone know where i can get a new hose from? poss online?

well its a 1991 honda civic it was a used car, and the transmission leaked when i first got it but not so much now.. and lately when i turn the car off and then come back and try to turn it back on it wont start like the radio and lights come on but not the engine?? some say its the starter but i have no clue about cars so can some one please help me??

Me and my husband are currently looking to buy are first car. I was just looking through ars local clasifide ads when I seen a 1997 thunderbird for sale. The owner wants $500 for it because it has a head gasket, needs driver side tie rod ends, and possibly a new battery. Nieghter me or my husband nkow anything about cars. I have a 1989 Chevy S-10 Pickup with a 2.8L engine. I bought new. Here is my problem. After the truck was 2 or 3 years old I needed a new muffler and that lasted for 8 or 9 years. Now here is the problem. In March 2000 I need another muffler so I went to Midas and they put one on. Then in May 2001 I needed to replace that one and another one in Dec. 2004, March 2005, Nov. 2005 and the latest April 2007. I had a tune up sometime last year which the truck wasn't missing.

Midas told me that my truck was missing and back firing and if the muffler fails again they will NOT honor it. My question is this. Is there something wrong with my truck that is making the mufflers go out so fast or are they selling cheap mufflers?

I have a appointment to take my truck in for diagnostic check up this monday.

My windshield wipers are only a few months old, and I live in Sacramento, California, which has rain in the winter. Wipers are only available threough the dealer, at $90.00 per pair. Does anyone have a fix for wipers that work well, yet sometimes chatter on the windshield?

After driving for a little while the battery light will come on but no lights dim and the car seems fine....if you turn the car off and restart it the light is off.....we have noticed that if we drive at night and have the lights on the battery light won't come on.....is it just some freak electrical problem or something else?....it's a 1999 concorde...

i have a acura integra 165 0000 km on it, i jump started the car today and it worked alright drove around for 3 hours (new battery bought in 2005) then i let it rest for about 15 mins and turned it on again to check if it would turn on again, then i let it stay in my driveway for about an hour (pretty cold out not that cold and rainy) and when i tried to turn it on again it wouldnt turn on the lghts would come up in the car and it lights up the battery picture and engine oil. one of my friend that is like a student mechanic said something was eatting up the battery (in 2005) not sure what it was tho, but i dont want to waste my money buying a new battery finding out that it is somethign eles that could be the problem like the spark plug or alternator in which ive heard before can someoen plz help me cuzz i dont want to waste any money trying to fix this car unless i kno what the true problem is and i dont want to spend up to actually 1000$ or like 800$ to find out that to repair the

I took in my '95 Chrysler Concorde because I noticed wet antifreeze spots on the driveway after pulling in. It has 110,000 miles on it. They told me that my water pump is leaking, the overfow tube on the radiator is leaking, and that my timing belt is "bad."

I know that these things will have to be replaced. They told me that if the timing belt were to break it would bend valves and my engine would be destroyed. Is that true about the engine? Other people are telling me it is a lie.

i bought a new car 06 plate in october 2006(6months ago) . last week the cylander head blew!!! although its gettin fixed for free im not happy that it happened to such a new car. is there anything i can do or say to the dealer, whats my rights!! will this affect the price of the car if i decide to sell it?
