It is possible you have bad gas. Check your oil. If you have a white creamy color in it that is water. Which means you have a Blown head gasket. Otherwise your fuel filter is clogging up and needs replacement.

Hard to say without a trouble code, but many times bad fuel, or water in the fuel will cause this misfire. Try some alcohol in the gas tank, about one pint of 91% rubbing alcohol should do it for a twenty gallon tank. This will help dissolve the water so it will mix with the gas and pass through the injectors. Depending on miles and time since the last tune up, that may necessary, but usually bad plugs or wires wil show up as a trouble code. A local dependable garage or dealer is best source of information and work. The nearest Auto Zone will read the computor for free. Would the jerk that gave the thumbs down please explain the reason? My family has been in the automotive repair business since the 1920's, and my husband since the middle thirties. There is no false information here and in fact, a lot thas been proven through many years of experience. Our e-mail is available, unlike some.

Sounds like you are pretty close to the answer. As the tank gets lower it may get worse. Go to the parts store and get a bottle of gas treatment and dump it in next time you fill up. If it doesn't straighten out by the time you use up that tank, you might think about changing the fuel filters. I have a Honda Accord and it has been doing something similar for a week or two, but this car sat for a while with gas in it and I think it is trash in the fuel. It's getting new filters this week.

A flashing check engine lamp indicates an ignition misfire. Have someone do a quick scan on the vehicle computer and you will find a few codes probably a P0300 and a few others. The most common cause is the ignition (spark plug) wires. A good quality tune up will probably solve your problem. 30 years experience in the business and I see this problem daily. Good luck.

Check your inline gas filter. If that gets clogged, you can get a lot of expensive suggestions from mechanics rather than replace a rather inexpensive inline gas filter. Or, before you try that, put in a can of dry gas. If there was water in the gas tank, this will help eliminate it.

Dear Sir
the engine light blink due to:
1. bad injectors
2. bad Oxy sensor
3. weak alternator
4. low injection pressure
5. weak spark plugs
but it will not blink if there is mixing of water with gas but it will turn off.
I think you just need to change you Spark plugs and your spark plugs coils/wiring
