is it bad for a car to be parked up overnight on a side-ways angle?

If you're parked at more than 20 degrees or so, the oil pump can be sucking air when you start up. Dingy has obviously never seen the inside of a crankcase.

Depends on the angle you can cause the oil to drain away from the sump. This could allow a no lubrication issue until the car is in a position to where the oil will drain back towards the sump. However for this to occure you would have to be on a VERY steep side angle. But it is still possible.

hate to tell you this, but both of the people that answered you is wrong,as the car will still pick up oil.the only way your car can't get oil is if the thing is laying on it's side or the oil pump is out
