I just bought a 1997 Chrysler CIrrus and I noticed that the right tail light was out. I replaed the bulb and it started working but when i went to test it, the left side stopped working. So I replaced that bulb too but it still doesn't come on. I read somewhere that it might be a fuse problem but I have no idea how to recognize if one needs replaced nor how to replace one. Is there anything else that can be done to fix this or do i have to replace the fuse (I think the fuse is fine)?

First of all go to your fuse panel, most often mounted on the side panel just inside driver's door. Should see a series of multicolored flat plastic fuses. It will be marked TAIL. Switch on park lights. With a test light probe the top of the fuse. There are small openings in the top where you may insert the probe. Both sides of the fuse should light.

My 96 Cirrus did the same thing, when I moved the wiring harness on the left side of the engine between the fire wall and the engine it stoped doing it, I covered the wiring harness with a wiring loom protector at any auto part store, it slides over the wiring harness, fix my problem, it just might be yours, it's worth a try.

if you want to check the fuses, get into the fuse block,it should be written down, which fuse goes where.you might check the ground,it could be either loose or bad.

pull the light socket back out and try wiggling the wires, the most common fault is a poor connection inside the socket.
