I have had lasted a lot longer, twice as long, and it is just average usage, nothing unusual. A small thing but hope it does not indicate other cheap inferior products in this car that might show up over time.

Miles have absolutely nothing to do with wiper wear. Amount of use, or lack of use does...sun/heat affects the rubber, as does dust and dirt getting on your windshield.

Frankly, if you are getting "45,000 miles" out of a set of wiper blades, you are way above averages, so don't complain.

Most people change wipers every year or two.

Maybe in the past you didn't drive much or it was in a garage more? 45K is a long ways.

Lots of people replace the wipers every year anyway. It depends more on how often you used them, than how many miles you've driven.

Here on the WET Coast I change them anually. In the colder climates the winter cold stiffen the rubber & the ice destroys the wiping surface. The summer heat dries the rubber causing it to crack.

As a general rule, wipers are good for abut 4 months, then again, it depends on how much they are used. I change mine every 3 months.

Wiper wear is based on use and weather. Especially sunshine.
