Looking into tires for our Dodge Ram 1500 truck. Are 245/75 R16 tires the same as 265/75 R16 tires? One is a Goodyear (245) and one is a Mastercraft (265).

the 265 is larger which will affect the accuracy of your speedometer when looking at tire size the first number is the measurement from one bead to the other. the second number is the percentage of sidewall (both sides) so 75 is 75% sidewall the remaining 25% is tread width the R stands for radial and 16 is the rim size depending on how new your dodge truck is the instument cluster module should be able to be recalibrated so that you dont get a ticket.any dodge chrysler or jeep dealer should be able to do this in 1/2 hour.

no there not the same, the 265 is a taller tire than the 245 but if you go with all 4 new tires the 265's should work on your truck.

No they are differant sizes. The 265 will be a little wider than the 245.

You already answered your own question. The tread width is different by 20mm about 7/8 inch. 13mm =1/2 inch.
They are both 16" tires and will fit your rims

No, they are different brands, and also different sizes. You can switch brands but not sizes.
