i tried the whole locking and unlocking the drivers side with the key but it doesnt work!.. unless im doing it wrong.. do i have to have the battery connected or disconnected?.. if someone can give me step-by-step instructions that'll be pritty good.. i've been trying to fix it for the past few days but all i get is the extremely loud alarm.. its a bit annoying..

i have 98 honda accord lx, 4 cylinder with a factory car alarm.

Your battery might need charging or replacing.

If you normally disarmed your alarm by turning the key in the driver's door lock, then the switch in the door lock mechanism may be defective. Try doing the same thing at the passenger door or the trunk (or hatch) lock. These normally have built-in switches for the alarm as well.

i install alarms for a living. what kind of car (make and model) and is it a factory alarm or aftermarket?
