Where exactly are these installed? We live in Florida and purchased a car from an auction in Boston, the car arrived but the keyless entry isnt working, when i searched the FCC ID it says it is for a remote start alarm but I dont even know where to look to see what kind it is to try and figure out how to reprogram the keyless entry, etc... any help would be nice. I know i can take it in to a shop and have it looked at, however I would like to try it ourselves first. Also how hard are these to install new, we are thinking of putting one on another vehicle we have to beat the florida heat.

Its achievable that the timing can get screwed up. If the vehicle has problems commencing without the distant, it truly is truly useful to look into having the starter checked. If its a ninety 9 and the starter hasnt ever been replaced you could guess its nearing the tip of its existence. If it starts in simple terms nice with a key, and easily has difficulty with the distant, its time to have that equipment checked. distant starters, exceptionally after industry ones, dont have an extremely long existence span, maximum are in simple terms coated for a three hundred and sixty 5 days with the aid of the producer. the two way they only dont final long. If its working right, the wires could be shorting out and choose replaced. in simple terms have it regarded at. I cant think of it seizing the engine, or ruining the vehicle except it have been heavily malfunctioning. yet i will see the timming getting thrown from it no longer working right.

they are not difficult to install but can be expensive. as long as the car is an automatic. usually they are wired into the ignition try looking under the dash to see if there is any kind of modual under there usually neer the steering column. depending on the make and model of your car. i would recommend calling a local stereo shop they are the ones that install the aftermarket ones and generally if you buy one from them they usually do a free install.

They are up under the dash by the steering column, it is a long pain to install them and maybe be in your best interest to have them done, you have to run wires from the transmitter to the remote box, than from the box to the igniton switch and to the starter... its a pain in the booty!...
