i have a 97 chevy pickup and i have problems with the fuel pump going out?

i would like to know if thier something cuaseing this problems

A bad fuel pressure regulator can cause a pump to wear out prematurely. A clogged fuel filter can do the same. The pump has to work a lot harder to get fuel through it.
