My brother in laws work van is stuck in park it won't shift. We put 2 brand new fuses in , now it won't get into gear. Its a ford Ford Elcline. Anyone Know?

Also squeaks in reverse. Only while moving or releasing the brake. Never when applying the brakes. Checked and brakes are fine, shop replaced the bearings and CV boot, but still squeaking. Mechanic also checked the struts, fine. Removed control arm thinking it was a broken bolt but that's not it either. I've taken this to three different mechanic's and nobody can find the problem. HELP!!!!

i own a chrysler concorde it's a 1996 3.5 litre. sometimes it will drive fine. but, there are times that the dash lights go out and all the gauges act like the car is off and then the transmission will not shift anymore.......then all of a sudden.....it acts fine again. what's the problem here?

i am having a problem with my electrical system. A mechanic thinks he's figured it out..but ive contacted other people and they think that cant be the problem..also, they have to RE test it and thats alone 175 dollars and then the part and install that the one mechanic thinks it may be totals about 420 dollars...if anyone has had a problem with theirs please let me know because it would be a great thing to fix it cheaper! thanks

the tensor is way back there and i cant reach it to get it off any ideas what i should do i may go to a mechinic and the new years soany spicific tools i should use to do it myself i dont know cause a box wrench or whatever wont fit

It's a 78 landau, has a 351W under the hood. It only has 80k mile and RAN fine. It has a leak in the haedgasket. I could see traces of water in the oil, it had froth in the radiator, and it would be empty on coolant every 2 days. I let a friend borrow it. They drove it empty on coolant for about 8 miles where it laid down. I put a new starter on it, its getting fuel, but has a weak orange spark when I check the spark at the plugwire. And it is not even attempting to start.
What in henry fords name is the problem here?
I've run lesser fords w/ lesser motors red hot before. Even if the head gasked breached fully into one cylinder or more, it should still start or at least try. Could it be the coil?

the overcab storage space seems to have condensation problem the pillows we keep in there had mould on them any ideas how to stop it would be appreciated.

I had a Valet Remote start system with auto (remote) lock/unlock (model 561r) installed in my mom's 2004 Honda CR-V. It is supposed to be a surprise for Christmas, so I don't want her to notice anything "strange" before I give her the remote as a present. Everything is pretty normal, except for the fact that when I start the car (manually, which is what she will be doing for the next week), the doors lock automatically. They also unlock when you turn the car off. They didn't do this before, and I am afraid she will notice it and get suspicious. I was wondering if there was a way to temporarily disable the auto lock/unlock feature until I give her the present (without breaking her car!) Thanks for any advice/info.

I went to change the upper front bushing, the job looks like any other bushing job. I found a warning sticker not to remove the upper shock assembly (SEE MANUAL), I can't find anything about this in the manual, and I don't understand why it would be different from any other job, I don't think it's a "self-leveling" suspension system. Any help ? Thanks !

put new map sensor on but still whistles then renault for diagonostics machine they say manifold gaskets unsealing letting air in so tighted it up still whistles and runs fast help going insane .

the problem is that whenever driving , the car smells of petrol so much so that I have to open the windows.
This happens only on low speeds (<30 kmph) & not on higher speeds.
It gives an average of 8-9 kmpl (6-7 km with AC)in the city and 15-16 kmpl on highways.
I have consulted many mechanics but they could solve neither problem. Each one of them just cleans the carburretor but to no benefit. I ve got the float pin replaced. The mechanics say that the carburretor is NOT overflowing else there could have been starting problems. Timing & tuning are proper according to them. Please advise.

I want Black smoke to billow from the tail pipe when i get on it does anyone know where i can have my injectors modified to Get to the overfueling condition i desire. my 51 plate diesel clios pre heat light came on the other day when the car had already started. Two days later the car refused to start, have changed one heater plug, having trouble with the others at the moment. Now the heater light is not coming on at all. Do you think this may be a problem with the relay rather that the plugs. Or has anyone had this same problem please help.

I have a Honda accord 2002 4 cyl. automatic trans. every time i put the gear on drive it makes a tuck sound. i also realized that when i lower the gear to D1 i keep hearing it. i went to a mechanic to check it out he could identify the problem....maybe you people can......
