I have a Honda accord 2002 4 cyl. automatic trans. every time i put the gear on drive it makes a tuck sound. i also realized that when i lower the gear to D1 i keep hearing it. i went to a mechanic to check it out he could identify the problem....maybe you people can......

check the drive shafts and connecting parts, could be there.

i had an accord that did the same thing get readyu to have the transmission replaced , its the sinkro's going out the gears and clutch packs are not meshing together try this for a tranny for a basic idea for repair cost www.engineland.com its a place to start

well consider this,, if ur engine is cold when u hear this sound, it could be ur engine is idling faster than normal. the sound to me sounds like a loose axle joint. and it could be normal. so take these into consideration. good luck

go check your gear box
