I had the battery, alternator and starter checked and they are all fine. Car will die on me and then I have to get it jumped off.

that would make it release. when i hooked the battery back up i had no brake lights,inside lights,blinkers,and the windows don,t work also i can't pull the lever down to put it in drive. i checked fuses but i don't know how to check the relays.any help would be thankful.

I bought a '94 Nissan Altima and have put about 5K miles on it. I checked the air filter today and it's perfectly clean. Not even any dust between the folds. What could be going on?

I have two transmissions for the same car. It is a93' 5 speed mitsu mirage. One of the trans has a messed up first, second. The other has a bad fifth,rev. Can I take parts from one and put them into the other to make one good transmission?
I do all my own automotive work, I can rebuild an engine.. The only part of a car I haven't worked on is the inside of a transmission.

ok here it is, I have fixed my misfire and now my blazer runs like a champ.. But I still have an egr code and that little check engine light is getting the best of me cause I want it to go away. I have put in a new egr valve a couple of times and I hear everyone tell me that I need to check the lines and hoses that are connected to the system but this is the first vehicle I have worked on in my life, and I dont know where these hoses and lines are.......... nothing says hey Im an egr hose cause there are no hoses or line connected to the egr valve. Any help finding these hoses and lines qwould be great.

Have a pick-up that barely passed emmissions I know the fuel and air filters are good(just replaced) So it leads me to believe I have a leaky injector. Do I perform a regular crack test(breaking each line loose from every injector seperatly of course) or from the injection pump?

I have a 2002 Acura. 2 times out of 3, when i start engine, the pass. side low beam headlight is not on, the Daytime Running Light (DRL) is flashing from the instrument panel and there is a continous buzz sound. It may go away after I drive a while. Sometimes it is perfectly fine when I turn on the engine. High beam lights always work. it is NOT the bulb because i swap and replace the bulbs.

I recently bought lots of accessories that only charges in the car, does that "plug" thing (that people use for cell phone charger) get energy out of the gas or the car battery? Because if its by gas, then i think i'll return my accessories, if its car battery, then its alright because it can always recharge itself.

I usually test the ebrake once a year to make sure its working. I pulled it and released it and now the rear driverside tire is stuck. I was able to get it so the tire turns, but it heats up really fast so the brake is still stuck. Its the disk brake version where the e-brake is a drum inside the disk brake assembly. Ive tried banking it with a hammer and i didnt see anywhere to apply any degreaser to free it. I pulled on the line going to the ebrake and that didnt work either.

If I run a wire from the battery to the fuel pump then I get fuel. Is there a fuse or some type of relay in the fuel system? The Killswitch is new also. I have no owners manuel and the book I found at the library has nothing on the electrical part of the fuel system. Any clues on how I might be able to fix this problem....

I changed the spark plugs, wires,rotar and bug. Now it is back firing.. When going down the road it has a hessation in the pedal it even back fires whe ndriving down the road..and then when you stop at a stop sign it back fires.. If I put it in park and let it idal it does not back fire.. Please help me.. What could be wrong with it??? The size of engine is a 318 and it is a 92 full size van

1984 Oldmobile Cutlass Supreme Heater Not Working?
i have a 1984 Oldmobile Cutlass Supreme and the Heater are Not Working. when i turn the heater on there is air moving so the fan works but there is no heat. I got the rear defroster working - it was a disconected wire. but the heater still dont work. i checked all the fuses and they are all fine. can anyone help?
