I have a 2004 Silverado 4x4 with a 5.3l engine. When I start my truck, usually only the first time each day, it feels like it may be partially in gear. I can hear and feel a clunk just for a split second and then it's fine.

I changed front and rear disc brake pads on my 1998 GMC jimmy today. I took the car out for a spin, and it stops fine. The problem is that the brakes seem to be engaging the calipers all of the time, and the enging really has to work to keep the car moving. What have I done wrong?

Cars a 91 Z32 twinturbo. In the right rear 1/4, near the suspension turret, Ive discovered a leak from what appears to be either an ABS unit or something similar. Im not competant enough to repair or even remove it myself, any ideas what it could be? Im losing around 100ml every 1000km. Braking doesnt feel very even either, not at all straight and stable under heavy braking. What should I advise my mechanic to look for first?

I have a 98 Ford Contour that sat for about a year. When I began to drive it again it started getting the "overheating smell." The check engine light came on and has remained on. Then about a week after I started driving it when I start the car, the battery light comes on and off but doesnt stay on. When the battery light comes on the car is next to impossible to steer. It really only does it when the car is going under 5mph. Anyone had this problem before? If so what did you do?

The noise also makes the floorboard vibrate, and you can feel it when it happens under the brake pedal. It only happens when I make a sharp left turn, and happens both when initially turning the wheel to the left as well as when I turn it back to the neutral position. The car hasn't hit/ran into anything recently either.

It was in an accident and I would need to have the two front airbags replaced, a new front sheet metal nose, front door shell, rear door skin, quarter panel repaired, replace the front head light and repair under the front inner fender. I'm trying to determine if I should pay to have it fixed or not and I don't want to be ripped off either. Even a ballpark quote would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

I have a 1994 Acura Integra. It was salvaged and rebuilt. I just bought a new air filter, it is a cirular type. I haven't open the air filter case to replace it yet but it appears to me that the case should have a rectangular shape air filter installed, not a circular one. But I bought the circular one because that's what the auto shop told me.

Since the car was rebuilt, is it possible that they installed a different air filter case than the origional one?

Thanks for helping

I have a 1995 Toyota 4runner, 3.0 liter 6 cylinder 4 wheel drive truck. I bought an after market kit from Rhino that included the Disk, cover, pilot & throw out bearing. I pulled the system apart, had the flywheel resurfaced & then put it back together. Before I hooked up the rear drive line I testied it out... I started the car, put it in first, clutch in & shifted into reverse... Fine. I turned the truck off. Then I pushed the truck out of my shop & connected the drive line. The truck would then not shift into gear while it was running. I have bled the system, twice just to be sure. Still nothing. The pedal seems a little soft. Also if the truck is stopped & I put it into gear & push in the clutch I cannot move the truck.. it is as if the clucth is not engaging all of the way.
I don't want to have to pull the whole thing apart & if I do I don't know what would be the problem. I made sure everything was aligned and tightened down evenly to keep it that way... help
