will the heads off an 89grand prix 3.1l fit on an 97 chevy venture w/3.4l?

the two engines are both 60 degree v-6 they look the same

I'm sure with that many years in between they made alot of changes to the motor

Well this is what I have found out. Even though the two engines are 60 degree V-6's I don't think they are interchangable due to age. I found on "Wikipeda" that the 3.4 is a bored out version of the 3.1 BUT this is for 96-05 model years. The engine you are talking about is a Gen 1 and a lot of changes have occured since then.
