I have a 1991 Dodge Spirit that first started acting up in April and no one I've talked to has any idea what's wrong. It has low RPM's, takes itself off of cruise control, sometimes dies at stopsigns or if I'm idling, and lurches when I drive on the highway for more than 2 miles.

I took it to the small hometown mechanic next door, and they had no idea. They changed the PCV valve and said that the only other thing they could come up with is the catalytic converter. Anyway, so far, my car has a new PCV valve, catalytic converter, fuel filter, thermostat, and distributor. The distributor came the closest to actually helping; now I can drive up to 7 or 8 miles on the highway.

If I don't get helpful responses, next on the list of repairs are: radiator belt (don't know if that will help my problem, but I need a new one anyway), spark plugs and wires, and a coil. I'm also overdue for an oil change, which is happening tomorrow.

Any suggestions?

Does anyone know what I can do? All I've had is problems with the car, the 1st week i had it they had to fix my tork clyendar, and my line pressure?, and then the next week my transmission went, and they say they fixed it, but I just got it back from a garage and they say my transmission line is broke, and the tranny fluid is over filled, and they did this september, so my trans. mission isnt getting any fluid, its just sitting in there? there are 8 other things wrong with my car including my alternator, rotors, gas filter, exhaust, my plugs bosched, other stuff I dont know about, and they said some pan under car is broke, and there is alot of damage under my car on that side, they said it was smashed. Now my problem is i have a loan out on the car, is there anything I can do? I've talked to the car lot, and they just argue with me, even though, I guess they have alot of complaints against them. IS it worth it to get a lawyer? HELPP!! its not a new car though.

I have come into possession of an old Fordson Major tractor. At least 30 years old I would think. The dipstick indicates that the oil level in the reservoir at the rear of the tractor is low. I think this the reservoir that operates the hydraulics and gear box. Q is what type of oil to use? Where is the oil put in?

I have an 85 Nissan 300zx. It has been sitting for a long time (approximately 3 years outside since I received it, about 5 years inside storage prior).

When I reached the 5th spark plug well, there seemed to be calcium or some type of deposit covering the lug portion of the plug. At first I thought it was part of the plug, but it only formed in a broken half moon shape. Hence, assuming it's a deposit.

My question is how would I get it out? Would it be safe using wd-40 or something to break up the deposit in the well? Or should I try to dig it out myself? Or heck, has anyone even heard of this problem before? Not sure what to do, but I want to get the car up and running.

Hi, I recently purchased a new AC DELCO battery and the warranty code on it says P 027. I believe this means it was manufactured in february 2007. How can this be (its december 2006 now).
See the third question in the link below

http://www.acdelco.com/parts/battery/battery-warranty.jsp

It says "For example, P 094N means the battery was made in September 2004 in the New Brunswick factory."

Anyone have an idea why there's a future mfg date ?

About 3 weeks ago my 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country over heated to the point that it shut off at a stop sign and I couldn't get it started again. I had it towed to a shop and they found that it was the radiater that was broke. They replaced it and a few hoses and said it was ok. Yesterday when I checked the oil it looked really brown and dirty. My dad said that oil like that is a sign of a cracked block. I talked to the guy that fixed my car before and he said the best way to tell if it has a cracked block is to pour engine coolant directly into the car (not through the resivior), leave the cap off, and start the car. When the cooling system kicks on he said the coolant should rush by if the engine was ok. He said if it was a cracked block it would shot the coolant out line instead of sucking it in. I tried this and it slowly rose up to the top (when the cooling system kicked in) and leaked over a little. It then lowered back down in and looked ok. About 30 seconds later it.....

When abs engages, I hear the typical abs relay noise and brake pedal depresses slightly. I do have the normal abs light when turning on the key. But when the abs engages I sometimes get the abs light, but sometimes no abs light. No codes when I checked. Any suggestions?
