do you mean the water temperature sensor?? If so it is most likely found on the top of the engine at the water outlet where the radiator hose connects.

look under the hood----follow the cooling systen routes and most likely it is an electric sensor ,,,,could be in the block or near the rear of the engine....You should include the info about the size of the engine to have a better response to your Question_________
