Chances are if you have the battery fully charged then you will find that you have a bad connection at the battery or the battery isn't fully charged at all. The sound I am thinking you are getting probably sounds more like a very rapid clicking sound which is the sound a dead battery makes. So first i would check the battery connections(if you have aftermarket battery cable ends also check where the cable attaches to the end itself). If that don't work try jump starting it if that works then I would take the battery and have it tested.Chances are the battery is bad.

try tapping it like the other guy said the battery might be shot also but if that doesn't work then getting jumper cables and hook them to the to wires going to the starter if the starter turns the engine over then it means you have a bad solenoid but if all else fails have a mechanic look at it but he will end up doing the same thing then he will tell you its bad and you'll end up spending allot of money by paying the mechanic to replace it

sounds like the starter isn't getting ability. Now, take a screwdriver and leap for the time of the selinoid. Does the starter do something? Does the selinoid "click"? If not, then take a try mild from floor to the batt., then to the selinoid. you've a nasty cable to the selinoid. If the starter fires once you leap the selinoid then you truly both have a nasty key swap or a smash interior the wiring going from the foremost swap to the selinoid. you may get a sparkling key turn on the section save, if that would not restore it, locate the cord that is going to the selinoid and run a sparkling one to the foremost swap. it really is something ordinary so do not supply up. If the starterchronic clicks regardless of the indisputable fact that the starter would not turn over it would confirm up. it will be for a classic tranny...sure, they are different. solid success.

Check all connections.Sounds like somethings not hooked up
right.
The 'weird" noise you're hearing is probably the solenoid trying
to make the circuit.(stuttering)
