I wrecked my quad today, i was doin donuts and it got a way from me and went rite into the tree. theres some plastic broke but I dont care about that, all thats bent is my rack. how can I get it back into shape? my friend said take a sledge to it. is their any other way?

Hard to say without seeing it.I worked with metal for many years and what happens when metal bends it stretches, That makes it difficult to make it go back to original shape. can sometimes be done with heat if you know how. Heating to red heat will also stretch it even more. It is probably made, I would guess, from thin wall tubing. If so it will be extremely hard to straighten. If you are proficient you can cut it apart and weld new pieces in and straighten some.others.

If the rack is aluminum you can heat it a "little" with a torch. But, too much heat could put a hole right through it. If all else fails try Ebay for a new/used one.

if you take a long piece3 of wood to pry the rack into shape it will work up to a point. if you take a torch and heat the metal red hot, rebending will noit break the metal.
