will it run at all? does it backfire through the exhaust or intake?if it will still run I would say out of time, bent valve, or sever carbon buildup on the valves themselves, causing the valve to not fully seat. other than that My guess would be that you have jumped time. if you're lucky it didn't bend or break a valve, if you're not lucky i would start looking for another engine. either way it goes its looking expensive

I don't know if I am reading right, you said you have dropped one valve into the combustion chamber. Am I right?
You have to remove the engine block head without turning the crankshaft from his actual position.
the answer is: nope!!.... It will not backfire..... it will brake everything piston, connecting rod, valve it self ,valve seat inserts, valve guides and everything in the neighborhood.

meaning ..no engine no more.if you try to cranked

Wat is dropped a valve ?? All kinds of strange language. If you have backfire it probly out of time or very lean on fuel. If engine turns over with starter you ok. Run a compression test and find out what you got. Could be a head gasket. Hard to say as you didn't list any symptoms.
