I changed the spark plugs, wires,rotar and bug. Now it is back firing.. When going down the road it has a hessation in the pedal it even back fires whe ndriving down the road..and then when you stop at a stop sign it back fires.. If I put it in park and let it idal it does not back fire.. Please help me.. What could be wrong with it??? The size of engine is a 318 and it is a 92 full size van

Are the plug wires crossed? Is your catalytic converter stopped up? Good luck. I'm not a mechanic.

They're right. You probably have it wired wrong. You need to establish what the firing order is, and connect all the spark plugs in the right order, and make sure they are all firmly connected. I would guess that you only have two of them wrong, because it probably wouldn't run if you had more than that, but the fact is you need to get them all right. You can only put the cap and the rotor on one way, and I'm assuming you didn't take out or move the distributor. So check all the plug wires. A little tip for next time. Take out and replace one plug and one wire at a time.

Check to be sure the plug wires are in the correct firing order. I hope u replaced each one individually and not all at once. It will probably need a scan tool to verify the problem(s).

my old chevy did this it happend to be the air filter and the cat converter.good luck
