92 Chevy Lumina 3.1L

97 Chevy Monte Carlo 3.1L

GM part numbers. Crank and rods look ok, looks like a different cam. Piston numbers are different. Could just be the result of superceded numbers, not sure. If the older engine has a distributor, and the 97 does not, the cam will be different.

If the '97 is also a 3.1...Sure It'll fit. and same with the rods as long as the engine sizes are the same.

it all depends the size of the crank shaft, it might be to big depending what model you have, it should work though
