Okay, did you find out what the "code" meant? If yes and it said EGR valve and you replaced it you still need to get the code(s) cleared. Plus you need to drive it. There is some sort of pattern that you need to drive to reset the system after they clear the codes. (so many miles over 30 mph, 50 mph...)
If you didn't find out what the codes meant then take it in to get the codes read. If you are near an Auto Zone they will do it for free. After you fix the problem bring it in (along w/ receipts in case they ask) to get the codes cleared.
I didn't know this at first. We brought in the Explorer to Auto zone to get the codes read. Then my hubby replaced the Oxygen sensors but the check engine light was still on. I took it to a mechanic and found out about the codes needing to be cleared after the repair and that I needed to drive it over the next couple days to make sure that it stays "reset".

mmmm 95 blazer
odb type one electronic brain
chev never sucks when compaired to ford but this is one of those almose sucky times
check the wires and lines to the egr real closely
like get a big light and some magnifying glasses from grandma
no good?
start looking at (but not replacing ) o2 sensors
see if any are unplugged
part of the prameters to use egr are rpm, exaust temp gear (or lack of being in gear)
exaust temp is a logarymthic funtion of mass air flow and fuel admitted and o2 sensor feed back
but before that,, humor me,,, clean your batteries real clean.....nice and pretty
i can tell you stories
electronic controlled equipment depends on clean stable and full voltage,,,,,,,,make shure you have at least 13.5 volts dc
i have made a whole lot of good money cleaning batteries
i dont think its the case here but thats where to start every time a code pops up.
some egr's have seperate resistance packs that do not get replaced when you replace the vacume valve for the egr
the resistance pac can be the perp
you may need a egr sensor that mounts on top of the egr in the end,,,,,,,
good luck

LOL - yeah, your right. Nothing in there saying "I'm a EGR hose". You really need to find a friend to help you find the hose that goes to the EGR valve. Try going to an auto parts store (NAPA, Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, etc.), usually those guys will help you out.

i mechanic for a living,,and did the old egr valve have a line on it, when you took it off,? if not yours is electronic, but still there are lines around it that might be tripping this code to go off.another thing also,,sometimes you have to have the check engine light cut off with a scanner,,this will turn it off, there may not be nothing at all wrong with your vehicle now,,but the trouble code will still be there, until the light is re-set,,any auto zone can do this for you free of charge,,if it comes back on,,there's something wrong with it,good luck with it,hope this help,s.happy new years.

The EGR looks like a little saucer on the intake. It has a vaccum line going to it. Good luck.

It will depend on the part. I would just find the part you want to use and look it up on Autozone for both the 94 and 95 to be sure it will work.

Buy a manual for your truck. They are exhaustive, and very helpful, and usually less than 20 bucks at your auto parts store.
