1984 Oldmobile Cutlass Supreme Heater Not Working?
i have a 1984 Oldmobile Cutlass Supreme and the Heater are Not Working. when i turn the heater on there is air moving so the fan works but there is no heat. I got the rear defroster working - it was a disconected wire. but the heater still dont work. i checked all the fuses and they are all fine. can anyone help?

Check the anti-freeze level. If it is too low, then you will not get heat. If that isn't it, then you may have a bad heater valve or s stopped up heater core.

Check your coolant level and also check your heater valve, it will be under the hood on the passeneger side of the engine in-line with the heater hoses, you will have either a cable or vacuum line hooked up to it. It might be stuck closed or the cable or vaccum line came off of it.

If you turn on heater and air comes out but not hot probably heater core pluged up.
Is car running at normal operating temp?

Check to see if the blender door is working.This door seperates the evaporator from the heater core.

check the valve that allows coolant to run thru the heater core...see if it moves when operating the control...under the hood I believe.

I'd be willing to bet good money that your heater core is blocked and warm antifreeze can't get through it to get to the blower.
