DEFFO Tomtom,Ill explain why
I used to have a job that required 18hrs a day and loads of miles door to door,
I have had 4 diff sat nav set ups in this time, most are based around a pda(personal digital assistant)
i found that most pda's dont come with a gps inset ,(only now are they becoming seen in the good pda handsets)so the people that make sat nat often use very very cheap pda units to base there satnav on
in short they are using a cheap bit of kit intended for other uses adpated to carry use there software
i had a AA navigator great software but the unit was so cheap,i have tried loads, when going to PC world the girl said to me
"look we get loads of theese come back and i have yet to see a tomtom come back in"
tomtom have the best software easy to read, the units they come in are built for the purpose as oppose to a cheap pda adapted
and the tomtom takes knocks and drops

please take care to read this bit
some large chains that sell satnav in the uk use this policy
when you buy a satnav setup you have to register some online,to get it working
once registered they wont give you a refund as they say it comes under the data protection act and the software and updates are registered to you,so if you dont like the unit you get no refund

mate i got advice to go to tomtom i tried 3 diff other types due to slaes hype, and i ended up with a tomtom, you really cant go wrong with em

Tom Tom - I would always recommend this type - it navigates to the full postcode and street number and I have never had any navigation issues with mine.

We use De Lorme's Street Atlas with GPS hooked up to our laptop. GREAT. Don't go anywhere without it.
