Changing the wheel size will offset your speedometer - it won't read correctly. There is a maximum clearance the wheel wells allow also - call a tire place, and they'll give you your options for change. Also - why would you waste your money?

SImple answer...your car's wheel wells will not allow the larger wheels and tires. Not enough clearance space. Your tires and inside of the wheels will grind against the wheel wells any time you turn, or go over a bump/depression in the road. The only way to make them work is to either a) cut and modify the wheel wells or b) raise the suspension on the car to allow sufficient clearance. Your speedometer will also not read speed accurately with the larger wheels. Hope this info helped.

I think clearance will be a problem. The current wheels are probably not much larger than 17" with the tires.

A 17 inch wheel has tyres with less depth but I think your problem is going to be the width of the new wheels and tyres as they will probably stick outside your car bodywork.

The ride will become very, very firm. As I found out!
