It appears as if my car was bumped in the local Walmart parking lot, it has a few small scratches and I need to know the best way someone without auto body repair can fix this. I just purchased this car a couple months brand new off the lot, and I don't really have a lot of money to splurge on this if I can avoid it.

My 2 year old Toyota Avalon suffered the same injury...I found a number of small body repair shops in the poor part of my town and they fixed it almost as good as the dealer would have rubbed it out and removed the paint transfer and buffed it out to near new condition...have to look very close to see tiny imperfections remaining...and it only cost me $200... I'm satisfied with the end results...

If you can catch your fingernail on the scratch it is more than likely to deep to buff out even with light sanding and a buffer. If you can't catch a fingernail then it could be buffed out. The biggest problem is how much of the clear coat is left on the scratch area to allow for sanding and buffing.
