you can go to a bodyshop and have them put the paint match on the vehicle and they can then mix up a sample of the paint.

The reason that happens is your car has been exposed to weather ex: sun(the worst). The best is I don't know where you live but around here, they have companies that repair scratches at our good year. Similar to windshield chip repairs. Remember it won't be perfect especially a bumper.

The touch up paints never match well, due to paint fading, especially like your gray color... so I would think touching up a white vehicle may be easiest (due to minimal fading) although I am still hesitant to touch up my truck. Maybe try buffing it out with wax & a buffer bonnet? Possible even try one of those "color back" products that may take some oxidation out of the car's paint to deepen the color...

get an appropriate mix of a bit of white paint with your dark paint.sample on a surface allow to dry and compare with the colour of your car after a few trials to confirm result before applying.you are sure to get a better result this way.

goodluck!

Try spraying lighter coats from further away
