Volkswagen Polo?? Regardless.. 1st check your owners manual under "service". Most manuals will tell you how to reset the service or oil change light if a garage is not available.

VW Polo in Germany is done like this:
Key off
Press and hold clock button on dash
turn key to on positions (do not start car) and wait 10 seconds
turn off key and release button
Start car ... indicator should be reset.

You'll have to take it to a main dealer as it needs a mini computer plugging into the ECU, (Electronic control unit).
This tells the service light to turn off. How ever I have heard on some cars you can by pass it by using some wire. My advice is take it to a dealer, as I can't tell what will happen if you get the wrong wire's.
