I just bought a car recently, and the next day it got hit by the reversing car from the other side of the road. There's 2 witnesses saw the car model and plate number. But the police told me that the car plate number isn't right, and can't be tracked.

The whole rear part of my car is damaged! That driver must have done some speed to cause this horrible damages! I can't claim from the insurance, 'coz of the unauthorized registration number the witness given.

I don't know what I shall do. I really want to find out who did it, and this kind of people shouldn't be driven on the road.

I am in the military and stationed in VA, I am originally from OR though and have an OR lisence. Since I have an apartment in VA, but still have a place in OR, do I have to get a VA lisence, or can I keep the one I have from OR???

Hi, I just got my first car and don't know how to register it.. can someone help me? I don't have the title yet, the dealer said that it usually takes weeks for the new owner to get the title. So how can I register it without it? Thanks.

Why do we hv to put those little stickers on our vehicles?? I know you hv to register your cars, but why the need for the stickers? Cops hv access to their computer data base from their vehicles and can verify if your vehicle registration is paid up and current, by inputting your License plate # in their system.

i was parked in a mall parking lot and when i came back my bumper had a crack in it? can i report it to my insurance company (the hartford) and say what happened will it be covered...

I bought a vehicle a month ago and i ws told by the dealership that the memorandum title would come in the mail. It never did, the finance co says its the dealers responsibility, and the car lot has closed (My luck!). The messed up part is when i called the title office to ask what to do they told me that the salesman came in 2 weeks AFTER i purchased the vehicle and put the title in HIS name (instead of mine!) Now what!! I finally got ahold of the salesman and he gave me a new purchase agreement to get new 30day tags (he changed the purchase date on the papers)! I that legal? Can i get into trouble if i try to get 30 day tags again, the 1st ones were in my name too. Im confused!

I had a car accident in 1998 and the auto insurance company sued me in small claims court. They took away my drivers license. I dont have the funds to pay this. I went to a meditor and things didnt work out because I lost my job. How can I get my license back or do I have to repay this first. Is there any statue of limitations or something where after so many years I can reinstate my license without having to worry about paying this bill. Please help Im in despart need for my license.

that i think it's a big issure for me right now.
i'm 17 and have just recently passed my driving test. i am thinking of buying a car but i feel i cannot afford to pay for car insurance. it's so expensive grrrrrrr...

my dad is 35 years old, holding full licence for 16 years up until now.
now, what i am not quite sure is should i get joined insurance with him or should i have my car insurance under his policy alone.
which one would it be cheaper and best option for me?

P.S i know i am not going to to have my own policy. it will cost me a fortune for just paying car insurance. therefore i would not go with that option :)

late july 06 i was in a car accident with a man and his wife who ran a red light and hit the passenger side of my car. he hit the whole side of my car and broke the axle and ruined just the whole car out of whack! i had a witness who stopped to help he was going the opposite way of me so we had the same green light and stayed with me until the cops came. he did get a ticket for running the light. i did go to the hospital and went to physical therapy for my back and i got a hold of a lawyer, they said the car was fully insured but it wasnt his car and his name wasnt on the insurance coverage and theres really nothign they can do!!! is that really serious!!! this @#$$# ruined my car and he doesnt have to pay for nething????!! the lawyer takes forever getting back at me so what should i do?? help please! i havent driven that car cause im waiting for it to get fixed and the passenger door cant even open its getting the transmission redone $650.00 had the right wheel axle thingy$225!!!

Ok, so today I was leaving school and while backing up i got bumped. the other kid was chosen to call the police. I did not have my license but my friend went to my house to get it. While my friend was coming back the cops came and the cop took my registr. and insur. and told me he was going to cite me for not having a license. When my friend came back I gave him my license (he was calling in people and writing the paperwork) After he was done he told me he wasnt going to cite me anymore. I got the paperwork and it was a paper with the name of the driver, owner, and all this other info and on the back was information about getting money from insurance.

My car has NO damage.. its in the exact same condition as before the accident. The other guys bumper was broken. My estimate: $50 (the bumper dislocated but i snapped it back in), his: $500.
Im keeping the paper but wont make a claim. Will my insurance go up? Will my insur. company know? What did the cop probably report?
