Is it for full coverage, comprehensive, just liability?

Sounds very high to me though.

Have you shopped around?

It sounds like you should qualify for some of the preferred risk plans from some of the bigger insurance companies that will probably be your best rate.

There are several to avoid like the plague because they don't pay off on claims too. You can find stories about them in the news such as the cases that occured after the last round of hurricanes.

I'm in Tn as well, 48 male I have full coverage on a 2004 F-150 along with liability on 1991 F-150. Also Comp on a travel trailer. I pay $215 every 3 months. So, Yes, that is HIGH.
May I suggest Farm Bureau.

It's kind high but the focus gets tagged for no side impact airbags and side impact damage in the safety tests. The insurers do not think highly of this car even though it is a good car to own it's not the best in safety tests. Be careful and watch for deer. Check out A.I.G. insurance it may save you money. Look them up online.

I work for Allstate, and I can tell you, this appears to be high. The big question is, who do you have insurance with now? If you have insurance with a non-standard company, then I understand why it's so expensive. Non-sandard compaines aren't that financially stable, therefore they have to charge more $$ to cover their a$$ when there's a loss. Financially stable compaines, such as Allstate, State Farm, and Farm Bureau have enough financial backing that they can keep their rates lower. Also, if you are with a non-standard company now, if you try to go to a standard company, they will have to write you on non-standard for at least a year, and it will be high. Call a local agent, tell them who you have now, and they will tell you if it's standard or non-standard. I hope this has helped.

unless you owe a lot of money on it, which is hard to believe for a 2001 focus, i would say defenitly yes. you should be able to find some for 100 or below.
