Monday my wife and I got into an accident with a 17 year old driving a rental car. Now if I am correct you have to be 21 years of age to drive a rental car? Can the rental car company do anything to the parents who most likely signed for the car? Also besides the legal action we plan on taking for pain and suffering plus the damage done to my car do I have the right to sue the parents because they let him drive the rental car?

I was driving my friends car. I hit someone. It was my fault. My friend has insurance but I dont know what kind of coverage. I was driving her car because she needed to borrow my truck. If her insurance doesnt cover her damage should I help her pay for it even though I was doing her a favor by borrowing my truck?

Assume that the suspect vehicle is stolen. During a police chase, the suspect's car bumps into yours.

How do you exchange insurance information - especially if the suspect car isn't stopped until several blocks later?

I was driving at 43 in a 30 speed zone and got pulled over by a cop last evening. Given my clean history, he gave me a "warning" which I had to sign. As I understand, it wouldn't show up on my records, would it?

Thanks.

If one, with a clean (no ticket, accident etc.) driving history for almost say 7-8 years, forgot to carry his/her driver's license by human mistake from home and got caught by cops, what should one do? What would happen?

There were no independent wittnesses, and some asian fellow completely turned the story round - so not only he's denying guilt, he's just completely fabricating a way out story to sue me.

Since my car was stationary and the other driver ran into it, I would imagine that I am not at fault. I was in plain view so there's no way that the other driver wouldn't have seen me if they only had looked before backing out. Want to get some opinions before filing an insurance claim.

I live in Texas and I'm going to purchase a 1989 pontiac firebird. The registration is exprired, so does the present owner need to renew the registration before signing the title over, or can he go ahead and sign it over to me and I take care of it?

When someone dies, and a car (that is not yet paid off) is left to family members, what happens? Does the loan automatically change to the repsonsiblity of the heirs, or must the family members get their own loan and pay off the deceased's loan? And how do you go about switching everything over to the new owner? Please HELP!

my husband has been restoring his fire bird. for the last 2 years. he got the car from a buudy he was in the air force with. he lost the title when we moved . and did not register it in him name. he is not in the air force any more and can't find his old buddy. so what would we need to do to get the title now? my husband thought that if a car has not been registered for a certain amount of years . it might be easier to get a title is that true?

In Los angeles, California.
I was in a car accident where I was going straight on a green light, and a guy made a left infront of me. He says he had an arrow. The insurance looked at the intersection a month later, and there was no arrow turned on. Who do I ask to find out if on that day, and time the arrow was on? I know it was green for me, and I just need to prove it.

What do you think will happen to me. I was just about to get some, but got into an accident before I could. There wasn't much damage, at least I don't think. Maybe a couple thousand on each car. No one was hurt. What will happen to me? Will I get my licsence suspended? I'm starting to worry!

live in louisiana, dad had signed credit life insurance( which dealership and dad knew had all illnesses). Dad died, vehicle is a 2007 Tahoe in his name. Credit life after dad's death now wants medical history(since we knew he had all illnesses), mom went to GMAC and signed for the $2220.00(price of policy) to go for payments on vehicle. Dad did wrong on signing this policy(trying to get vehicle upon his death paid for), also dealership(which dad used for 30 yrs.) knew he had all illnesses, but still let him sign the credit life. Does mom need to get a lawyer. Department of motor vechile says she has to have title changed into her name, but how when GMAC is beneficiary on credit life policy.
