Actually, your insurance should cover you when you're driving any car...

Contact your insurance company....

You should pay for the damage to her car regardless of what type of insurance she has. For one thing, her rates are probably going to go up if she files a claim. If she has insurance like my wife and I do, the insurance only covers certain designated drivers (namely, my wife and me). No one is covered to drive our vehicles except for us - hence we don't loan our vehicles to ANYONE. The bottom line is you borrowed her car and as such, you are responsible for it while it is in your possession. That's why I never borrow anything from anyone unless I have the money to fix/replace it should something happen while it is in my possession. Do the right thing and pay for the damage (out of your own pocket) to your friend's vehicle. Tell your friend to quit loaning out her vehicle before it gets totaled!

Since you were at fault and because she only has liability you are responsible 100% for the repairs of her car. She loaned you her car and you did not return it the same way she gave it to you. Too bad it wasn't the other persons fault.

You were at fault in the accident. You should stand up and do the right thing, and pay the entire cost of the repair. Your friend loaned you her car. You have a duty to return the car in the same (or better) condition than you got it!!

You should not help her pay for the repair, you should pay the total cost yourself!!!!

it would be fair not to claim on her insurance as it will increase her premiums for years to come.
