Hi,
I was recently in an accident in which I was mostly at fault. I claimed to my insurance company and they raised the premium from this cycle. If I change to another insurance company, will they check my past driving record with my previous insurance company?

They gave me an unofficial settlement as it hasn't been signed by a supervidor yet. I had a stereo system in the car but removed the subwoofer, amp and cd player, however, I left the speakers and wires in the car. With a receipt for these items am i entitled to additional money on the settlement. Also i put 4 brand new tires on the car within the last 6 months and had less than 2000 miles on them. Do they take that into consideration for more money. Thanks

I recently found out that my car insurance was cancelled through my ins. company. I know I need to get a new policy asap. I have been told that the state charges the driver a certain amount for everyday that they are driving a registered car without any car insurance. Is this true and does anyone know how much it is in the state of Florida?

I am a learner driver and have just purchased a 52 plate Clio Sport 172 Cup I am having trouble trying to find an insurer that will cover me as a learner. I am hoping to pass my test this side of Christmas but it would be nice to be insured before hand.

Thank you

Is there any way I can get it dropped or keep it off my insurance. It's not the money of the ticket, which hurts, but the effect on my insurance I'm concerned about. I have no other tickets. Anyone with experience with this?

Thank you. :)

I'm buying an used car and would like to know if I will be able to transfer the title to my name using an Internation Driver's License along with the license issued by my country. I'm hoping I won't need to have a CA Driver's License. I already contacted a few insurance companies and I wouldn't have a problem getting the car insured. I'm in California.

if theres an accident with minor damage (dents, paint job) and it costs about $3000 or so, but the value of the car (honda civic 88, about 1200), will insurance companies spend the $3000 on the car if the value is less?

I have a question, my car recently got broken into, personal things were stolen as well as the 3rd row seats (it's an SUV). The insurance claim adjuster could not find used quality seats at the time of the claim, so they had to cut me and the bank a check for the cost to replace them new, totaling around $7,900. I was looking on the internet and found used quality seats for around $2,000. Here's the problem, the bank won't endorse the check without the repairs being done, and I don't have the money up front to pay for the seats. Also, what happens to the remaining money, do they get to keep it? It's almost as if I was the repair shop, doing the repairs myself, which I know is legal, because I can have it done ANYWHERE. So what should I do? If I go to the bank and tell them the situation will they cut me a check for $2,000 and keep the remaining $5,900? My insurance will more than likely go up because of this, so if that's the case then forget it, I'll just send the check back!!

When I called the company, the recording said to include title release instructions in the form of a Trade-in Authorization, but I have no idea what that is. Can I find that form on the internet or should I just write a letter for them to release the title to me? Thanks!

my car was in a flood and i read my insurance policy and it says it doesn't cover comprehensive damage. I looked it up to see what it meant and it said comrehensive meant 'accidental damage', but the only things it listed were fire, theft, vandalism, hail, and a few other things, but nothing about water damage. do you think they'll help me?

Friday a friend of my husband and I borrowed our Mustang. Well my husband let him borrow it, I was at work. Anyway, Our FRIEND wrecked and totaled our car along with hitting two parked cars. (He was speeding on a wet road). We have full coverage and the car is paid for. What happens next. I would call my insurance today but being labor day they are closed and I need some advice today. Besides getting pissed which I already have.

How will this affect our insurance? Can he turn it in on his insurance (I was told he might be able to). Also, I was told that if you have full coverage the insurance takes your car if it is totaled. I thought the latter happened only if the car wasn't paid for. I don't know. PLEASE some one help me with some good sensible answers!!!
