And now that I have money to make the payment a month he will not give back to me he is being a jerk I have a spare key to it, I could just go and get it but I don't want to play that back and forth game, I want to do it the right way, So then that way he could'nt do anything about it.. Any advice on this, please help????

if both your names are on the title , you are pretty much screwed..you need to take it to court , or pray like hell he will have a change of heart , and or you two can work it out out of court....sorry , but dont ever go in on a vehicle with someone , not your family , not your friends no one....always have one name on the title never two!...take care , and good luck !...Gr1m

If you are a co-owner you are just as entitled to it as he is; however, if he has been making the payments he may have a stronger case than you if you filed against him in small claims. Best to come to some sort of agreement about who gets the car. If he gets it, and you invested anything in the purchase of it, maybe he would agree to "buy you out" of it.

The other advice I have is never get joint ownership of something with someone to whom you are not married. Relationships end and then both of you lay claim to one thing that can't be split up. Bad idea.
