I just recently bought a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire from a Dealer. I had to go back and pick up the title because they had to do something with it at the DMV. When I went back a few days later to get the title, it said "salvage rebuilt" on it. Will I have trouble titling and registering this car? Will I have to do anything special in order to register the car?

One neighbour asked me to give her a ride everyday. Yesterday one of my friend told me I'm taking a big financial risk by doing so. He said if we involve in an accident and no insurance can cover the losses, then she has the right to sue me to claim all her losses onto me. Even by signing an affidavit will not waive me from this liability. Is it true? If it is, then I have to end my help to her.

one of my coworkers got in an accident and he was wondering how long it takes to settle. He need facts. He said that a big truck was blocking the stop sign and he ran it but the police only gave the big truck a ticket and not him or the person who hit him. Also he was wondering if the 1/3 that the lawyers take was fair when he was the one suffering.

I am 16 and I've had a learners permit for 6 months now. I lost my wallet today with that in it, and I have my behind the wheel test on Monday to get my actual licence.. My question is once I get my replacement, Will I have to go back to the driver's ed school to get it signed again? I do have a paper that i'm suppose to give to the DMV once I take my behind the wheel test that says I completed all my behind the wheel class sessions.. Or will I just not have to worry about it?

My wife was hit by a van that ran a stop sign. The car is totaled and she is on crutches and my son has a broken callarbone. The Insurance co. is offering me $40.00 less than what I owe on the car. I have contacted an attorney but their contigency is 1/3. So if the payoff for my car is $10000.00 and my medical expenses are $5000.00 ( not actual just estimated for example). If the claim is settled for $15000.00 and I owe the attorney $5000.00 I fail to see where this is helping me. Looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation.

We have recently shifted to Pune and are living on rent. Dont have any residence proof like Voter ID, Ration card or any telephone bills other than GSM phone bills. But we can get letter from company as proof of residence. Is that accepted by the Registration authorities in Pune for registration of car as we are going to buy a new car.

I know it like a loan, and if person dies, vehicle paid off. But when good ol'e boy(car salesman and my dad) that have known each other for 30yrs get together, and dealer knew my dad had every illness there was and they still let him sign policy. All I'm saying is if the dealership knows person has illnesses that don't qualify, then don't give application. And by the way COCHISE, my mother was not there with my dad when he got vehicle and she also has stated that dad should not have signed(FRAUD!) and dealership shouldn't have even pulled it out. Credit life should have people do a physical when they are applying, instead of when they die ask for all medical records, and talk about digging the body up for autopsy. We plan to write an article in paper telling people about this so called credit life and dealerships, it's all wrong on everyone's part.

I have heard that accidents and tickets will affect car insurance rates for five years. I was in an accident four years ago, that was determined to be my fault. Now, my (old) insurance company just settled this claim. Is this going to affect my rates for five years from the settlement date or from the date of the accident?

Thanks, Brad
