I am 16 and I've had a learners permit for 6 months now. I lost my wallet today with that in it, and I have my behind the wheel test on Monday to get my actual licence.. My question is once I get my replacement, Will I have to go back to the driver's ed school to get it signed again? I do have a paper that i'm suppose to give to the DMV once I take my behind the wheel test that says I completed all my behind the wheel class sessions.. Or will I just not have to worry about it?

I do have my drivers licence number written down and everything.

Also, What is needed when I go to get it replaced? My birth certificate or something?

Ask at your local DMV office what the requirements are for a replacement permit.

Just contact the DMV and talk to the driver licenses clerk(s). They will answer your question and help you in any way possible. California is alot different then how things are done in Alabama. In Alabama they take a written test get a driver license.. but, its got a 'Y' restriction for permit. Some schools u can take the road test but, some your not able to. I know the kids that take the road tests with there school they are given a yellow piece of paper to remove the 'Y' restriction but, still they have to see Examiners. (ppl. that do all tests for any license) Just call ur DMV.
