Stolen car was recovered, but I'm not sure that it may be repairable or if it would be worth it.

while i was driving a cop pulled me over. he told me iwas stopped cause my vehicle was uninsured. i was so puzzled cause i know i always pay my ins on time.. i had to leave my car parked& he took my keys & told me that my car will be inpounded.. he gave me a ticket & a court day. 5 days later i got a notice to pick my car up from the inpound.. i got my proof that i had ins in effect for that day i was stopped.& went to the dept of motor vehicles.....then i went to pay $340.00 to retrieve my car.. when i go to court i will show the judge that i did have insurance..i know the cop was wrong to stop me... i only recieve a disability check & it all went toward my car to get it out......i hope the judge doesn't give me a fine.. this is the first time this has happened to me. is there anyone out there that had the same problem..plz help..thank you

The plates are mine from an old car that I no longer have. It has been gone for about 10 uyears. Should I just throw the plates away, or should I return them to Motor Vehicle? Will I get in trouble for keeping them so long? Thanks to all who answer.

I had 7 years no claims built up, lived overseas for 2 years, and my insurance company say I've lost all my no claims discount even though I was running a car in this time.
Does anyone know a way around this or a company that will retain my discount.

I've not driven for six years now and have no insurance; say for example you buy a car from someone - how can you be insured to drive it away that day. Do you need a cover quote and how could you obtain one if you're not sure of the exact car you're going to buy?

Why don't they just go ahead and include race. I mean I don't agree with it but isn't there a form of descrimination to price someone according to their age. Yes I understand there are statistics that prove younger person have higher accidents. But they already price according to gender. I'm sure there are statistics that show Blacks or Whites have more accidents then the other vise versa....

My boyfriend let his car insurance policy expire because his inspection ran out. He's working out of town, doesn't drive his car, and didnt have a chance to get it inspected.

I have a new car (well used new car) that I want to take to Germany for 12 months. One insurance company quoted me £8,000! What are the best companies to get a quote from? Either that allow this under the policy, or will charge a reasonable fee for a green card on top of the normal insurance policy.

When shopping at a DollarTree, I came out of a store with my mom and discovered that two shopping carts hit her car. It was closing time and an employee was bringing in the carts. The employee witnessed the fact that this occured and said she was sorry. One week later after we found out that it would be over $1000 to fix the dents we went to the store to report it (we didn't think it would be that expensive to fix). There are no signs in the parking lot disclaiming responsibility for cart damage. The store has not done anything and the corporate office will not respond to several e-mails. We'd rather not go through our insurance company. I'm not sure where to go from here.

What are my options if my car insurance lapsed and I got into a fender bender? There is no police report but the other parties insurance says i owe them $4300. I'm in California, if that matters.

i don't complain much but i recently got into a bit of a fender bender and my insurance is charging me more in premiums than what i was already paying before.it seems illogical to charge alot for a little accident.

the insurance information i was given after someone hit my car turned out to be fake. my insurance company called his company but was told that the policy # does not exist. so is there a way i can find out through DMV or somewhere his true insurance information?

if i can't find it, would this qualify as uninsured since i have uninsured drivers coverage? it would waive my deductible and it would pay for the injuries i suffered in the accident but only if he really is uninsured.

Was not required to file SR-22, did not lose license, but didn't contest charges in court, just plead guilty. So I have no record at the DMV, just with the courts. But my request for quote for insurance included the DUI because I told them...

My car was struck by a guy who ran the red light. He did around $1500 damage to the front left side. He tried to flee at first and did even more damage than he wouldn't had he just backed away.

I have collision coverage but have a $1000 deductible so I'd rather not go through my insurance.

The other driver is denying it was his fault. There is no police report because cops don't come to accidents here unless someone is uninsured or injured. No witnesses either.

So what should I do? Spend the $1500 out of pocket and sue the guy? Or will contacting his insurance and explaining what happened convince them to pay?
