Okay, I posted this questions yesterday but maybe I should've been more detailed. I was in a hit/run accident. As a result my arm was broken in 3 places (luckily no joint injury). My doctor put me off of work for a little over 1 month. The driver of the other car came forward about 3 months later. Her insurance company would like to settle w/me.

Although overall I'm fine, per my doctor, I'll have continous elbow pain for sometime...also my car was totalled.

Not sure about bringing a lawyer into the mix...but while I dont expect to hit the lottery, I expect "fair" compensation. Problem is, what is "fair" in this case? Please advise.

The other party was driving a family members car and did not have insurance or registeration in car. I obtained a poilice report with the owners insurance however, when I called my insurance company they said he never had a poicly with that insurance company. He provided another insurance and we found out he didn't have enough insurance for the car to be on the road. What do we do?

I've got a 2001 Kia Rio that I bought in crappy condition. I've got it fixed and now I'm looking to get all that stuff taken care of. The title is still in the previous owner's name (some crook from this local used car lot) and I need to get insurance (gonna get liability insur.), get the car registered, and have a sticker inspection done (expiring this month). Are there any other expenses I forgot to mention and how much would it all cost?

Okay....so I got my license weeks ago...and I have a Ford Focus ('02)...now I'm president of my senior class and obviously I'm gonna need a car to get to work etc.,etc. etc.... Now I was completely ecstatic when I got my license because come on...it's a big thing to happen when you need a car to get everywhere in such a small town...Now the car is already insured but they refuse to put me on their insurance plan because "it would cost too much"...So how much should be added onto thier plan???? And do you think i should be able to drive???

A guy ran a red light and struck my car causing $3500 in damages. I got all the required info from him so how do I file a claim with his insurance?

I called my insurance but they said they will not file a claim for me with the other insurance. I have full coverage but with $1,000 deductible so I want his insurance to fix the damages.

I had just posted a question about this, but it was getting too lengthy, so I decided to open up a new one. I had my claims rep come to my house ans take pictures and everything, am I still able to cancel the claim for my car accident inorder to have the person at fault's insurance to cover it?

The person who hit me came forward 2 months later. I'm thinking because she realized the intersection had cameras. Her insurance company is willing to settle, but I'm not sure of the amount they want to present. I dont really care for getting a lawyer (dont know if I should really) because fortunately, I was hurt minimally compared to other hit/run victims. But again, not sure of what a "typical" settlement amount would be in this case...

I was in an auto accident back in '04. I am suing the other drivers insurance. Today I was looking at my credit and saw that her insurance company checked my credit many times since then. WHY? What the heck are they looking for? To see if I need the money?

My car was hit about a month ago and I'm still strugling with the insurance company. I was not at fault and my claim was denied because the insurance company can't get in contact with the policy holder (obviously doesn't want to take responsiblity). I think it's a bunch of bull---. Is this possible?

My son just got his drivers license. We added him to our insurance policy, but everyone that has already had a young driver told us that we did not need to do that, because it is so expensive. We did not need to let them know he he received his license, He would be covered under our vehicles just like they would if they borrowed our car. We argued that yes they would be covered under their own policy, and our son does not have one so he would not be covered. Is this true?
